Broken or Chipped Teeth — We see this commonly in children or those who are playing sports. If you can find the large fragment of your tooth. Place the piece in saline or milk; we might be able to bond the fractured piece back into place.
Knocked-Out Tooth — In this case, we advise quickly locating your tooth and rinsing it off with water. We recommend immersing it in saline, salt water, or milk and bringing it directly to our office.
Toothaches or Abscesses — Tooth pain can be quite severe. Take ibuprofen to help with the swelling and avoid chewing. It’s important to schedule an exam as soon as possible before the source of the infection has an opportunity to get worse.
Loose Filling or Crown — If you develop new decay around an existing crown or filling, it can cause your crown or filling to come loose. We will need to replace it altogether to avoid infection or pain. 
Bleeding Gums — Gingival bleeding can be caused by anything from traumatic injuries to gum disease. Let us know if you’re taking any medications (such as blood thinners) before your appointment.
